"Multimedia Crossroad 2001" project in Chios Island
Preparation Meeting
2 Day 1-June Friday

In the morning almost everybody (Sabina from Romania was still in the air) were taken to the hosting place, where the youngsters will stay during the entire project. After a short study of the houses, where the youngsters will be hosted and the place, participants went to the cafe "Metropolis" which is only a few meters from the port of the Island, in the very centre of Chios town for the first working day of the preparation meeting. After a short introduction and the presentation of the organizations, everybody came into first contact with the program of the meeting. |

One of the main tasks of the day was to visit the Photo Shop, where its owner Pantelis Frangakis showed some of the technical equipment which will be used by the young people in the Photo workshop, the Computer School, where during the Crossweb workshop the youngsters will have an opportunity to enter into a new technology world and learn about the steps of the creation of a web page, the local Television and Radio Station of Chios, which during the "Multimedia Crossroad" project will help the youngsters to express themselves and use the technical equipment for the video and radio workshops. |
