"Action"
VIDEO- ADVENTURE

There will be ten participants, one from each country, who have previously chosen this project and can exchange ideas in the message board in our web page in Internet before coming.

The scenery will be the stone-constructed village of Avgonyma and the dead-town of Anavatos. We hope that this old scenery will be a good inspiration for the youngsters, because we look for an interesting exchange of ideas between the past, in this case the old scenery, and the present, the youngsters and their reality. The historical places of Chios will be seen with different eyes and this is important for the Greek people who will find a different point of view (or different points) and for the youngsters who will experiment a new environment. The youngsters can see in advance the place using Internet and they can work at their homes before visiting the island.

It will be the young participants who will make all the steps of the production of a video: under the guidance of an expert they will discover the more technical steps of a video production. So, they will start with the decision of the subject: all together have to choose it and we strongly recommend that they reach an agreement through Internet before coming to Chios: it will be useful if we have the list of material (clothes) needed before coming. Once they have it, they have to write the play. With the script they direct and play their own creation. Finally they produce it and make it ready to the public exhibition.
The play will be executed in the local TV station and during the final presentation. The Videotape will be sent to all the organizations so all the youngsters can get it from their sending organization.

Day 1 / 10 Tuesday 17. 07. 2001
Arrival of the participants at the East or the west airport of Athens.
Welcome of the guests and transferring them to the Domestic flights airport or to Piraeus Harbor.
By plane: Flight to Chios island.
By Ship: Voyage to Chios Island through the Piraeus Harbor.
Welcome of the guests and transferring them to the hosting place.
